We hope that you'll be delighted with your candles, wax melts & soaps when they arrive. 

We take every care to ensure you order is protected during transit, however on very rare occasions damage may occur. Please check your items and inform us of any issues by emailing info@croftcandlesandsoaps.com

​We happy to replace or refund products damaged during delivery if photographic proof of damage is sent to us within 48 hours of delivery.

​​You are welcome to exchange your product for another similar product which is of the same value within 28 days of purchase.

Please be aware you are responsible for the delivery cost on all returned items, we also recommend you obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office, as you are responsible for the goods until they reach us.

​Due to the nature of our products, goods can only be returned if they remain unopened and remain in the same condition as when you received them. Refunds for goods, which have been damaged whilst in your care will not be refunded. Refunds for unopened goods will be refunded upon receipt of the return.

FREE UK delivery will applied to all orders over £35. Please note that your basket contents must amount to £35 in value once a discount code has been applied to qualify for free UK delivery. We aim to dispatch all items within 2-3 working days of receiving your order

We use different methods for shipping including Royal mail (standard first class service) or via a courier service.

​Our Standard postage charge is £3.85 for orders under £35. We offer free mainland UK postage on all orders over £35

​Prices quoted are for UK mainland addresses. Delivery to parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight may incur an additional postage cost to the customer. We will contact you if there will be an extra cost on your order.

​Wholesale or high value orders will be sent with Tracking details once your order has been dispatched. You will receive a despatch confirmation email once your order leaves us. If you need your orders urgently please get in touch prior to ordering and we'll do our best to accommodate.

​Please note that during peak periods (ie in the run up to Christmas) dispatch may be delayed, however your order will be dispatched within 5 working days.

Getting the most out of your candle

For best results you should burn your candle for a minimum of 2 hours the first time or until the entire surface has melted fully and for no more than 4 hours in a single session. After this or any other period of burning, allow the wax to cool and solidify before re-lighting. This helps to extend the life of your candle while almost maximising the fragrance throw.

Trimming the wick
Keep your wick trimmed to 4/5mm and ensure that when you do trim the wick that you remove any trimmings before lighting the candle.

Lighting and extinguishing the candle
Use a long-barrelled gas lighter where possible as this will avoid the residue that matches create spoiling the finish of your candle (it's also easier to light the wick as the wax reduces). Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame.

Let the wax pool
Every time you burn your candle allow the entire top layer to become a pool of liquid wax. This creates the best fragrance throw available, keeps your wicks burning with a consistent flame and helps to avoid tunnelling (this is when wax residue is left at the sides of a candle jar). It is the melted pool of wax that creates the fragrance throw.

When to throw away
Nobody ever likes throwing a candle away or feeling like anything has been left unused however once your candle wax is 1cm from the bottom of the jar you should no longer use it. A great excuse to buy another candle.

Burning Your Candle Safely

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
• Avoid using in drafty areas, near an open window, air duct or fan.
• Never use water or a lid to extinguish a candle.
• Never move a candle while it is burning. Ensure your candle is fully extinguished, the wax is solid and the jar is cold before handling.
• Ensure wicks are upright and trimmed to 4/5mm before use and each time candle is relit. This not only keeps your candle safe but also makes your candle last longer and prevents tunnelling.
• Do not burn any Croft soy candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Stop burning when 13mm of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the glass / tin.
• Tins and glasses may become hot. Burn candle on an appropriate flat heat-resistant surface.
• Do not use if glass is cracked, chipped or broken.
• If you are burning an Croft candle that is multiple wicked you must ensure that all wicks are lit every time the candle is used.
• Never introduce liquids or foreign objects into candle and keep it free of wick trimmings, matches and any flammable materials.
• If your glass becomes blackened while burning, extinguish candle, allow cooling and cleaning with a dry paper towel.
• Use a candle snuffer to properly extinguish a candle flame.
